Key words and how to use them to communicate

It’s a great idea to start your lesson with some small talk, but it’s boring to ask the same questions about your students’ week. Why not to make it more fun?
Divide your students into groups and ask them to write key words or phrases about their week.
Then, exchange the papers and let the other group make a story with these words.
Some variations for even more fun:
1) let tem draw pictures and the other group has to guess whose picture it is and what the person was doing;
2) before the groups make a story, assign some fun character whose story they are going to write (e.g. a cat, a toddler)
3) let the groups guess whose key words they see and what they were doing.
I hope you like it =)
